Cuenta Conmigos
Cuenta Conmigos is a Spanish-speaking group for parents who have a child with Down syndrome. We have speakers that are scheduled to speak at each meeting. The topics focus on a wide range of pertinent information. Meetings are on the 1st Wednesday of the month at the Down Syndrome Indiana office from 6pm to 8pm. Childcare and food are provided.

Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome
Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome, or D.A.D.S. is a DSI group of fathers with children who happen to have Down syndrome. We host regular meetings where our members come together to share insights and experiences.
D.A.D.S. meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 6:30pm, at Loon Lake Lodge, on East 82th Street, just off I-69, on the north east side of Indianapolis.

Grandparents Group
The Grandparents Group is a support group for grandparents of an individual with Down syndrome. It is a great opportunity for grandparents to get together and share stories about their grandchildren. This group will have monthly meetings and activities.

Mom’s Night Out
Mom’s Night Out is a program designed especially for moms, grandmas, aunts and loved ones of individuals with Down syndrome. The program meets at a designated restaurant on alternating sides of town and downtown Indianapolis. Dinner is provided free of charge to the first 25 to R.S.V.P. This allows participants respite time, networking opportunities and an evening out that they may not otherwise be able to afford.
Mom’s Night Out provides a unique experience for participants to come together to meet new moms, share personal stories and experiences related to the birth and parenting of individuals with Down syndrome.

Raising Special Kids Down Syndrome Support Group
Raising Special Kids is a Down syndrome support group formed in conjunction with Hillcroft Services, Inc. and Down Syndrome Indiana to provide a network for families and caregivers in East Central Indiana. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6pm to 7pm.

Hillcroft and VSA Arts provide quality therapeutic programming for children of all ages for each monthly meeting. Therefore, reservations are required in order for us to plan accordingly.

Southside Group
The southside parent group is currently restructuring to meet approximately 6 times a year instead of on a monthly basis. We usually meet the first Friday of the month at various locations in Greenwood and Indianapolis’ south side (Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Community Church of Greenwood, Independence Park, Friedens United Church of Christ). Dinner or refreshments provided. Our group typically does not have speakers it’s more of a social fellowship type meeting. We share common interest among First Steps therapists, school systems, doctors, diagnosis etc.

The Lafayette Area Down Syndrome Organization
The Lafayette Area Down Syndrome Organization provides information and support for families touched by Down syndrome. Local outreach includes, but is not limited to, new parent packets, personal family contacts, and group meetings and events.
L.A.D.S.O. meets the 3rd Thursday of each month unless otherwise noted.

The Minority Families Down Syndrome Network
The Minority Families Down Syndrome Network is a network of family members, caregivers and professionals united to meet the unique needs of minority individuals with Down syndrome and their families, provide a support system for parents and other caregivers, advocate for diversity and inclusion in Down syndrome awareness, and partner with other groups and community organizations to increase awareness of and education about Down syndrome to minority communities.
