Mehida Perez
Parent Support & Education Coordinator
Mehida was born in Mexico City, where she has lived most of her life. She went to college in Chicago and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. After graduating, she pursued a master’s in chemical engineering and planned to dedicate her life to science and research. Mehida has worked in the pharmaceutical, health, and education fields but always made time to volunteer. Aside from her job, Mehida was part of The Lilly Foundation in Mexico, where she coordinated programs and assigned grants. “Ever since I can remember,” says Mehida, “I have had a passion for people, especially those who need an advocate. Reason why when my husband and I learned we were being relocated to Indianapolis, I was excited about the possibility of starting a new job that better reflected my skills and interests.
