Jessica recently graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Management and is honored to be a part of the Down Syndrome Indiana family. Although she now resides in Indianapolis, Jessica grew up in New Castle, Indiana, where her family taught her the importance of giving back to her community. She is thrilled to be in a position where she can combine her passion for volunteering and organization. Her favorite part of an event is seeing others relax and enjoy the day.
Jessica can be contacted by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 317-925-7617.
She’ll be amongst the Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis alum May 2014 with a BA in English Studies and a concentration in English as a New Language. In her days at IUPUI, her love of volunteering led her to Macas, Ecuador where she taught 9-11yr olds English. It was this experience which caused her to change her major and focus on volunteering and ENL research. Her junior year she became the VP of Service for her Co-ed Service Fraternity hosting volunteer days regularly. Alyssa has a passion for non-for-profit work and a love for volunteer coordination. She says “There’s nothing better than working for a great organization, and collaborating with volunteers to make a lasting impact.”
Lisa has a background in Civic Leadership, has worked with Indiana nonprofits for over 12 years and is a registered Family Mediator. When asked why she works for DSI without having a child with Ds, her response is simply, “Why wouldn't I?! This is what I am meant to be doing! This is truly a wonderful organization and I am honored to be a part of it." Lisa resides in Fishers with her husband and three children.
Lisa can be contacted by e-mail or by phone (317) 925-7617.
